Dr. Anilakkad R Jayakrishnan is an “A GRADE” Mridangam Artiste of All India Radio/Prasarbharathi (from Thrissur AIR, Kerala). Though he is an IT Consultant by profession, he takes immense commitment to bring up his talent as a Mridangam artiste since his childhood days.
He is a PhD holder in Computer Science from Bharathiar University on the topic related to Cyber Forensics. He has written and published books and many papers on IoT forensics, methodologies of forensic investigation, honeynet cloud investigation model and attack patterns on IoT devices. He secured patents for his work on network security monitoring and IoT forensic model. In over 20 years in the field, he has been a software engineer, technical manager and researcher for several high-technology firms. Currently he is an independent consultant whose clients include computer and networking manufacturers and customers, software development firms, and leading-edge government research institutions. He also works as visiting faculty for a few universities in India.
Dr. Jayakrishnan started learning mridangam from Sri. Kuzhalmannam Gopalakrishna Iyer at the age of 11 and then from the Top grade artist Sri. Kuzhalmannam Ramakrishnan.
Dr. Anilakkad R Jayakrishnan has been playing Mridangam for more than 3 decades and has accompanied for many concerts in India and abroad for various vidwans and vidushis. He has received many awards including the Kerala State Youth Festival, University Kalotsav, Palghat Fine Arts Society Junior Award etc. He was one of the staff artists for the prestigious Guruvayur Chembai Music Festival for many years since his childhood. He is also a recipient of Nadachandrika Puraskaram of Swathi Sangeetha Sabha in year 2022.
Dr. Jayakrishnan is very keen to create awareness among public about the safety precautions, dos and don'ts in the cyber world so as to reduce the cyber incidents that targets mainly to the common people. As part of that, he takes classes to the open forum, senior citizen groups, organizations, institutions etc, Also, he gives cyber security tips through the social media regularly. We all spend a lot of time online these days, and it's important to stay safe in the digital world. Most of the cyber incidents are due to the lack of awareness on how to handle the cyber space.
